LOU CLEMENT: Why have I decided to cut 30 cm. of my hair and donate it?

 

 

 

 

 

A year or two ago, I saw this video of this girl supporting her sister who had cancer. Her little sister was feeling ugly cause she didn’t have anymore hair because of chemotherapy so that older sibling decided to shave off her own head and show her that she is beautiful no matter what. I was very moved by this act of kindness and swore to myself that I if ever were to cut my hair, it would be for a good cause. 

I’ve never cut my hair short before in my life and a year ago, I decided to do my best to keep it healthy and let it grow. Once it reached a certain length (a bit more than 30CM), I decided it was time for me to cut it. I chopped it all off to pretty short length so I could give as much as possible (even though I wasn’t shaving my head completely). I wanted to donate it because I think that everyone deserves to feel beautiful in their own skin and if giving just a little bit of hair to make a wig can contribute to one’s happiness, I am all for it.
