Our center:

Since 1982 El Plantío International School has been offering a British education for students from 2 to 18 years old. During Early Childhood Education, Primary Education and Secondary Education the teaching that is given follows the British National Curriculum (National Curriculum for England & Wales) and Pre-University Education is completed with the International Baccalaureate.

From the coordination of the CAS we invite the entire community that is part of our school, as well as other people outside it, to enter our blog to learn about the wide variety of activities that our 1st and 2nd year high school students (Year 12 & 13) are doing in this subject of the International Baccalaureate.

But some of you may wonder, and what does C.A.S. mean? Well, it means:

Creativity, that is, everything that involves both individual and collective artistic expression of our students.

Action, and with it everything related to sport, both individually and in groups, because our students should never leave aside contact with physical exercise.

Community service. Because inside the school, outside the school, in our cities, in our towns, around the world, there will always be someone who needs a hand to hold onto, a shoulder to lean on, someone to whom they can express their feelings, ask for help, or just being able to be heard.

At school, students complete their CAS hours, both on and off campus.

Some activities, such as music, painting, soccer, basketball, gymnastics, etc. They are carried out outside of school, after school hours, because it is required by the curriculum. But at El Plantío we also collaborate with entities outside the school. For several years our students have been going for 2 hours a month to a residence for the 3rd age, located a few kilometers from the school. What the girls and boys do there, we will tell you later. The only thing I can tell you is that they await you with open arms every new school year.

Within the school, we also provide more services to the community: we collect and classify used clothing for NGOs, we raise money at different events (Halloween, St. Valentine's day, Soccer Tournament, etc.) for UNICEF, we collect all the discarded paper in the classes and we pour it into the municipal paper and cardboard containers (in the more than 7 years that we have been doing this activity, we will have contributed to saving more than one tree)
In short, the training of our students is not only academic, it is also training them as individuals who will be part, in the very near future, of society and the world that surrounds them. The CAS wants our students to be thoughtful, understanding, supportive, altruistic, ... with themselves and with others.
The CAS coordination will always ensure that all these objectives are met.

Greetings from
